Tofu never tasted so good. All these years I've been cooking tofu I never GRILT it. Eat your heart out steak, for real.
one brick of extra firm tofu (use paper towels to press out water, cut into about 1/3" thick slices)
veggies of your choice to grill (grilled carrots are DA BOMB)
Saifun noodles (cook as directed)
For tofu and veggie marinade:
1/8 cup sesame oil (I was out so used grape seed)
1/4 cup tamari
1/4 cup rice (or white wine) vinegar
1 T brown sugar
1 T fresh grated ginger
2 cloves chopped garlic
2 T fresh lime juice
2 tsp. sriracha
Whisk together and marinate tofu and veggies. A lot of recipes say marinate overnight but who plans that far ahead? Save any remaining marinade for post grilling.
I used the grill plate for the tofu at med-high heat. Spray plate first. It grills fast so start the veggies first. I out straight on the grill b ut be careful - they'll burn quickly. Especially asparagus! But they are charred and tasty! Your tofu should be firm and have grill marks.
Top your noodles with this tasty stuff then use sweet soy sauce, sriracha, peanut sauce, or anything else you might want for added yumminess. A few chopped green onions. Sesame seeds.
