Another time I think I've created something innovative, and.... damn I'm wrong again. You can find anything on the interwebs!
However, this is my ground beef ragu over soft creamy polenta.
What I did:
cooked a pound of grass fed beef.
In another (big) pot, sauté:
2-3 diced carrots
1 chopped onion
3-4 cloves garlic
a can of stewed tomatoes.
Add 1 cup chicken or beef broth
and then add 1 diced zucchini.
Simmer 30 minutes. Season with sea salt, ground pepper, herbs like thyme, basil and oregano (fresh if possible).
Add beef to pot and simmer as long as humanly possible! Like, hours. This is great for a crockpot.
Serve on top of one package cooked polenta, heated in pan w/a cup of broth and a little milk to make it creamy. I topped this with a dollop of handy store-bought pesto. Bon a petit!
Best taken with a decent red blend...
